Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. Mineral crystals are still susceptible to scratches but less so than acrylic, however it is not possible to buff out these scratches as it is with acrylic. "I’m very happy with the watch. I bought it as a more fancy option for weekends / dates. Removing the links for a custom fit was easy. The package arrived in fine condition. I’ve worn it a bit and my only nitpicks are: the band does pinch my arm hairs a little bit, and I wish it had the indiglo feature, so I could tell the time in low lighting."
