Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. "It's cute. I have not had it very long though. It's extremely light and seems flimsy for what I paid for it. I had reached out about the size to Timex, and received an unequivocal response that it was big enough for a man. I can cinch it on the second hole barely, and there's no room to cover the flap with the loop. I'm fairly disappointed overall. Time will tell if it warrants the astronomical price for, what appears, to be very mediocre merchandise."
