Acrylic lens are a specialised form of plastic akin to Plexiglass and were commonly used in early to mid-20th century watches. It is a softer material that can be more prone to scratches but conversely is very shatter-resistant. Given its softness any scratches though can be buffed out. Acrylic lens are synonymous with vintage-inspired timepieces and thus can be found on our Marlin and Q Timex collections.

"Though the image on the clock face is super cute, the "indigo only illuminates 1/2 the screen. The lower portion is illuminated, while the upper is not making it impossible to see the hands (not illuminated) or upper screen in low to dark conditions. The band is very comfortable and I love Snoopy, so I gave it 3 stars. I am not sure the image shows what I have described, bit I tried."
"Fun watch but the hands aren't as visible as depicted in the photos. Perhaps with so much going on in the background (or perhaps because of the mostly white background) it takes a bit to discern where the hands are. Using the Indiglo feature at night doesn't really let you see the hands."
"The indiglo light is designed to look like it is lighting up the night sky. Cute feature but defeats the purpose of being able to see the whole dial in the dark. Also, the band that this watch comes with is hard the thread on (velcro), I cannot loosen it enough without pulling it out of the looping area and then it becomes difficult to rethread. (I don't have large wrists so this is something I imagine will impact most wearers. ) Other than those two issues is another nice Peanuts themed watch (I have several others)"
