Made from Hesalite—a refined form of acrylic favored for its clarity and ease of maintenance—the crystal covers the entire top surface of the watch case, enveloping the grooved bezel bearing the Marlin name and bringing captivating depth to the watch's retro-futuristic appearance. It blends seamlessly into the flat case sides, leaving only the lugs exposed. The case sides smoothly transition to a screwed-on exhibition case back that mirrors the crystal’s domed contour, enhancing the watch’s streamlined profile and space-age aesthetics. You’ll find a concentric circle pattern in three key locations on this timepiece: beneath the dome on the inner bezel, on the crown, and on the case back. "The fabric nato style strap isn't very robust. After 3 weeks of daily wear, the fabric already started to fray at the clasp. The overall quality of the watch is good, and I like the see thru of the mechanism. Movement is reasonably accurate. The dial face looks a little low-rent - it feels like cheap plastic and the wrap around the edge gives a poor refraction, making the "Marlin" logo hard to read."

- I'm a little confused about the functionality of the sub dial: two people asked about whether it could be used as a GMT function, and the two answers conflict, as one suggests that you can set the subdial to a different time zone, and the other answer says you cannot. I suspect you can't (because that would be a BIG selling point, and it is not mentioned in the specs). I am very much in the market for a nice, affordable MECHANICAL GMT. Unfortunately, the only GMT that Timex offers has a quartz movement. Nothing wrong with a good quartz (considering that they are ALL more accurate than even the highest priced automatic Swiss Made), but I am one of those people that only wears mechanicals.
