Your watch has a story to tell; a tale engraved in every second you’ve spent together. But when it reaches the end of its journey, where does it go from there? Does it end up in the garbage, contributing to the landfill? There really hasn’t been a truly clear and sustainable path for watches at the end of their lifespan – until now.

Today, we’re thrilled to introduce Timex ReWound, the world’s first circular program for watches. Send us your pre-loved watch—any watch from any brand —and we'll give it a second life to be enjoyed by a new generation or upcycle its parts into new products. It takes just one minute to avoid a lifetime spent in a landfill.

Here’s how it works: When you’re ready to upcycle your watch, we’ll provide you with a hassle-free, pre-paid shipping label. Once we receive your watch, it’ll be inspected, cleaned, and refurbished with a working battery before it’s available for resale on the Timex ReWound site to spend a new lifetime with someone new. For watches that have already lived their best life and do not qualify for resale, we’ll upcycle their parts into materials for new products.

We’ll even send you a code for 20% off your next purchase to thank you for contributing to our commitment of taking less from the planet and leaving less behind.

“Every watch has a soul and a story to be told, and this initiative will help keep our planet ticking,” says Shari Fabiani, Sr. Vice President Brand & Creative at Timex Group. “Circularity is about maintaining value and not creating waste in the process. Every year, 2 billion tons of waste is created with 99% of it ending up in a landfill. A Timex is crafted to take a licking and keep on ticking and it's our goal to keep watches on wrists and out of landfills."
