A Modern Design Surfaces
Timex has been a watchmaker since 1854. Over the past 170 years, we have been in constant pursuit of what is new, relevant, and next. From hard-working daily beaters to era-defining silhouettes, our legacy is not built on a single look or style. It is built on an evolving commitment to modernity, to design that reflects its time and sometimes moves just ahead of it.Timex Atelier is the next chapter. It is not a break from the brand’s past, but a deliberate continuation of its key principles independence, quality, and timeless design, alongside a commitment to value that has made Timex trusted for generations.
Where the Giorgio Galli series left off, Timex Atelier now carries forward — elevating the same focus on proportion and modern design. This chapter begins with the Timex Atelier Marine M1a, a watch that distills luxury into its most essential form. Every surface and profile has been engineered for balance, comfort, and enduring presence on the wrist.
The 41mm stainless-steel case features a skeletonized architecture that reduces weight while preserving strength, complete with a black IP-coated middle case that adds contrast and depth. The unidirectional rotating bezel is fitted with a ceramic insert, marked with Swiss Luminova numerals for enhanced visibility. A screw-down stainless-steel crown secures water resistance to 200 meters. And on the stainless-steel case back, an exhibition window reveals the Swiss-made Catena SA 100 automatic movement, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with 29 jewels and delivering a 36-hour power reserve.
The crystal is double-curved sapphire, treated inside and out with triple-layer anti-reflective coating for high clarity with minimal distortion. Beneath it: a polished black enamel dial with silver printing and applied indices filled with Swiss Luminova. The hands are high-polished silver, designed to catch light and also filled with Luminova for legibility at depth.
To finish, the Timex Atelier Marine M1a is fitted with either a stainless-steel bracelet featuring a custom-designed deployant buckle and self-adjustable links that require no tools for resizing, or a premium NBR rubber strap offering a tactile, technical feel, complete with a custom-designed deployant clasp.
Timex Atelier watches are not designed to announce themselves; they are designed to hold up under attention. The materials we have selected for each piece capture our commitment to quality and the expression of a design language that speaks for itself.
Timex Atelier is for those who appreciate subtlety, proportion, and modern design, grounded in decades of expertise. It is our invitation to experience luxury in its genuine, essential form.
This is a legacy, not of nostalgia, but of modernity.
“These watches are not nostalgic or futuristic. They are modern. That has always been our tradition at Timex. Thank you for choosing to continue on this journey with us.”
— Giorgio Galli, Chief Creative Director, Timex Group
