"Great watch, but the marketing pics are misleading. This isn’t the elegant, subtle, brick red and golden accented watch shown on the website. In reality it’s closer to brass and fire engine red. "Positive: 1. Great looking case, dial, crown, pushers, and glass! The color combination, is outstanding. It really has a true classic look and has quickly become one of my favorite time pieces. 2. Keeps time very well. 3. Easy to set. 4. Quiet. Negative: 1. I'm not really thrilled about the bright red strap. The red strap color is much brighter in person. The website shows it as more of a "crimson red" when viewed on both my computer and phone. Maybe meeting somewhere in the middle would have been better?!"
"I like the look and size of the watch very much. The design is what sold me. The mineral glass crystal is fine. The lume is disappointing and hard to see at all. At this price point I think a sapphire crystal and decent lume would be appropriate, but these sort of compromises are what I expect from Timex these days. From the photos I believed the strap to be more of an oxblood color, but in reality the strap is bright red. If I were certain it would remain on offer for longer I’d have waited for it to be on sale. For $50 less it would be a solid value. And I wish the metal bracelet were offered as an option or for purchase separately."
