Mineral crystals are still susceptible to scratches but less so than acrylic, however it is not possible to buff out these scratches as it is with acrylic. Mineral glass is not as shatter resistant as acrylic but does offer greater transparency and clarity. Due to their improved scratch resistance versus acrylic, and improved shatter resistance versus sapphire, mineral is often considered to be the best of both worlds as a crystal material.

"No words! This time piece is a real knockout. So much good stuff happening here. Two sub dials, ice blue dial, polished stainless steel, raised mineral glass, racing band, exhibition windows in back, etc, etc. Bravo Timex. . . bravo!"
The watch is beautifully designed,
"The watch is beautifully designed, but has some drawbacks. 1) No sweep-second hand - the seconds hand on the main dial works only with the chronograph function. 2) The chronograph is very basic - no split-time functions, only start, stop, and reset. 3) No date window. 4) The left subdial counts stopwatch minutes and the right subdial is a 24-hour clock (6pm on the main dial is "18" on the right subdial). 5) No half-links or microadjustments on the bracelet. . . I'm an in-between size, so removing two links makes it rattle loosely and removing three links makes it dig into my wrist. 6) The toolless link removal is a nice feature. 7) Packaging for shipment left something to be desired - it was almost torn open completely, with only a small piece of tape holding the box shut. I'm guessing the name "Timex" on the shipping label may have tempted someone to try to steal it?"

- Hi Joey! All our watches are sold as shown in the product images, so we do not offer customization, such as changing the band strap. However, you can purchase a separate replacement strap with the correct lug width if you’d prefer a different one.
- Subsials. The small 60 second/hour dial on the left. Barely moves. What's ir for? The 24 dial on the right. WHat's it for. I can activate the chronograph and reset it with no problem. Your manual sucks.
- Hi Rusty! On your Timex Waterbury chronograph, the subdials each serve a different purpose. The left subdial, marked with 10 through 60, is the chronograph seconds counter, which tracks elapsed seconds when you use the stopwatch function. The right subdial, marked with 6, 12, 18, and 24, is a 24‑hour time indicator. This dial shows the hour of the day on a 24‑hour scale, helping you distinguish between AM and PM at a glance.

The top pusher typically starts and stops the chronograph, while the bottom pusher resets it. If pressing the pushers does nothing, please ensure the crown is fully pushed in, as the chronograph will not function if the crown is pulled out.
