Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. Mineral crystals are still susceptible to scratches but less so than acrylic, however it is not possible to buff out these scratches as it is with acrylic. Mineral glass is not as shatter resistant as acrylic but does offer greater transparency and clarity. "This watch is a good value, especially if you can get it on sale. The dial looks bigger than it is which is good and bad but makes the watch easy to read. The blue dial is a nice color and I really like the addition of an actual moon phase movement. Also nice is the inclusion of mineral glass and a stainless steel case. I prefer silicone watch bands but the synthetic leather one is at least comfortable to wear. I just wish the end was rounded instead of pointed. But that can be easily fixed with a band swap. All things considered, this is a nicely built and functional watch that isn't too heavy on the wrist."
