- Does the second hand only tick when the stopwatch is being used? And does the 24 hour clock track hours when the stopwatch is being used, or does it only ever show 24 hour time?

The second hand on this chronograph only moves when the stopwatch function is activated, so it won’t tick continuously otherwise. The 24‑hour subdial is designed to show the 24‑hour time format and does not track stopwatch hours—it simply reflects the time of day in 24‑hour format.

- Hi, I have this watch and am generally pleased with it. I have noticed after running the chrono for a few hours that when I stop the chrono and zero it the hours dial at 3 o'clock does not go back to "24" at the top of its dial. Is this normal? Thanks, Marcus

However, this is a common issue with quartz chronograph watches and can usually be resolved with a simple calibration procedure. Your watch's movement has a function that allows you to manually reset the alignment of the chronograph hands, including the hour sub-dial. This is often necessary after a battery change or a significant impact. Here is a step-by-step guide to recalibrate the chronograph hands on your Timex watch: 1. Pull the crown out to the middle position. The crown is the small knob on the side of the watch used for setting the time. It typically has multiple positions it can be pulled out to. For this adjustment, you will likely need to pull it out to the second position. 2. Press the top pusher (usually at the 2 o'clock position) to adjust the central chronograph seconds hand.
