Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. Mineral crystals are still susceptible to scratches but less so than acrylic, however it is not possible to buff out these scratches as it is with acrylic. Mineral glass is not as shatter resistant as acrylic but does offer greater transparency and clarity. Due to their improved scratch resistance versus acrylic, and improved shatter resistance versus sapphire, mineral is often considered to be the best of both worlds as a crystal material.

Poor show Timex. Your quality has slipped and your prices are high for an inferior product. Two times and both watches were defective. No more Timexes for me!"

"Came with 10 and 2 dials not zeroed. Tried what the manual said but stem would not pull out to second position. Tech sent me a return refund email. This was a better response than the last fly back I bought that kept stopping. The tech that time told me it didn’t happen. So I have two working Timex, one that doesn’t, and one that I am returning. To be fair, overall, I like my Timex watches, and think they are great work watches."

- Hello. Any chance to align seconds hand with the markers?
- Hi Oleksandr! Aligning the seconds hand on the Timex Weekender New England Chronograph 40mm can sometimes be done by resetting the chronograph. Pull the crown out to the second position and use the pushers to realign the hand to the marker. If that doesn’t work, a watch technician can help recalibrate it.
- I just got my Weekender and love it so far, but the Bottom Subdial (Seconds Counter) doesn't reset to zero(60) but rather 59. Is this how it should be or can I adjust it?
