Acrylic lens are a specialised form of plastic akin to Plexiglass and were commonly used in early to mid-20th century watches. It is a softer material that can be more prone to scratches but conversely is very shatter-resistant. Given its softness any scratches though can be buffed out. "The watch is beautifual and comfortable. I wish the crown was a bit larger in order to wind the watch easier. Also, a backlight or lume on the hour markers would be a plus, although at this entry price point, those are not standard features. Overall, I’m glad I ourchased the watch and look forward to many years of use."
