Acrylic lens are a specialised form of plastic akin to Plexiglass and were commonly used in early to mid-20th century watches. It is a softer material that can be more prone to scratches but conversely is very shatter-resistant. Given its softness any scratches though can be buffed out. "It should be a five: the watch is a five but the strap is a 1 so the whold package has to be a four. Having to tuck the male end of the strap under the female is a horrible design. I would never recommend this watch becasue of the strap."
