"The strap is an exact replacement for the straps on my watch, which had gotten faded thru wear. The watch looks new (from a short distance away). If the watch didn't work like new, i would not have minded buying a new watch but the Timex Ironman watches are so reliable and rugged they always last a long time. It's my training/everyday watch for everything but fancy events!"

- Does the watch band go over the watch case ? It looks like that's the only way to change the band.

It is designed to attach directly to the watch lugs, so you replace the strap by removing the old strap from the lugs and attaching the new one in its place.
