Acrylic Crystal
A lightweight plastic polymer with excellent impact resistance and a warm vintage appearance that can be easily polished to remove scuffs.
Acrylic Crystal
Highly impact-resistant
Acrylic lens are a specialised form of plastic akin to Plexiglass and were commonly used in early to mid-20th century watches. It is a softer material that can be more prone to scratches but conversely is very shatter-resistant. Given its softness any scratches though can be buffed out. Acrylic lens are synonymous with vintage-inspired timepieces and thus can be found on our Marlin and Q Timex collections.

"Overall it's a pretty good watch. It's really difficult to adjust the bracelet and the directions are hard to follow, but there is a good video on Youtube; make sure you include the full name of the watch to pull up the correctly and I wish the illumination was brighter."
— Maitland M. (3/5)
Overall, it's a very nice
"Overall, it's a very nice watch for the money. Pros: Great design, the watch complications are very useful for daily life, domed crystal, 40MM case size is a great size for most wrists, wears very well, easy to read and a great value. Cons: the Lume doesn't last that long and that's a shame because this watch looks great when the lume is charged at night, The bracelet feels flimsy and tapers off to a very small 15mm clasp without any micro adjustments. The bracelet would have been better if it didn't taper off as much. As soon as got the watch, I immediately searched for a new strap or bracelet to better compliment this great looking watch. not sure you can get a better watch for the price, just wish the bracelet and lume were of better quality."
— Peter F. (3/5)
Great watch, nice retro look
"Great watch, nice retro look for those of us that remember the Apollo missions to the moon. It’s great to see Timex re-issue many of their classic styles from the past."
— DONALD A. (5/5)
The glossy plastic and flimsy
"The glossy plastic and flimsy bracelet make it feel like a cheap toy. I was hoping for something a bit unique to wear as a discussion piece, but I don't think i can wear this in any professional setting. The bracelet arrived broken with disconnected (and unperforming) clasp link. I hope I've been able to fix it myself using watchmaking tools. but I've never had this happen on any of my 20+ watches before."
— Ryan C. (3/5)
Awesome watch with a beautiful
"Awesome watch with a beautiful dial! I enjoy the useful features like day and date - My only complaint is the uncomfortable and poor quality bracelet. I would suggest choosing the leather strap option in hindsight."
— Matt K. (4/5)
The first watch I ever
"The first watch I ever had was a Timex ; a Christmas present when I was 10. Now, at 67 I am thrilled to have such a beautiful, fantastic Timex commemorating the Apollo mission I grew up experiencing! An absolutely wonderful timepiece!"
— Martin N. (5/5)
Watch is a beautiful piece,
"Watch is a beautiful piece, but I find the bracelet to be flimsy and it continues to catch/pull on my wrist hair… I might be purchasing a leather strap soon."
— Jordan C. (4/5)
Absolutely love the watch. Easy
"Absolutely love the watch. Easy to adjust bracelet, crystal clear dial. The caseback might be my favorite part. Worth every penny"
— Owen P. (5/5)
I Iove the watch itself.
"I Iove the watch itself. But the bracelet is very uncomfortable to wear. It traps hair and it hurts. Unfortunately I had to buy a strap."
— alon a. (4/5)

This bracelet style is new to me. How do I adjust it? Are there instructions or a video to watch anywhere?
Hi db! To adjust the strap on your watch, follow these steps: FOLDOVER CLASP BRACELET 1. Find spring bar that connects bracelet to clasp 2. Using a pointed tool, push in spring bar and gently twist bracelet to disengage 3. Determine wrist size, then insert spring bar in correct bottom hole 4. Push down on spring bar, align with top hole and release to lock in place BRACELET LINK REMOVAL REMOVING LINKS: 1. Place bracelet upright and insert pointed tool in opening of link. 2. Push pin forcefully in direction of arrow until link is detached (pins are designed to be difficult to remove). 3. Repeat until desired number of links are removed. RE-ASSEMBLY: 1. Rejoin bracelet parts. 2. Push pin back into link in opposite direction of arrow. 3. Press pin down securely into bracelet until it is flush. If you need assistance or prefer professional adjustment, we recommend visiting a local jeweler. Let me know if there’s anything else I can assist you with!
I have the watch now and would like to change the band what do you recommend I get band wise ?
Hello Spaced! Thank you for your question about changing the band on your Q Timex NASA 40mm Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch. We recommend choosing a strap that matches the correct lug width (18mm) and suits your preferred style, such as leather, fabric, or rubber. A leather strap will give it a more classic feel, while a nylon strap adds casual comfort—both are excellent choices depending on your style. Keep in mind that this model does not have a quick-release strap, so changing it may require a tool or assistance from a watch professional.
Does the watch actually glow in the dark? Does the moon glow green as it seems to do in one if the photos?
Hello Karen! Thank you for your question. Yes, this watch does feature a luminous moon graphic in the day-of-the-week sub-dial, which adds a unique visual detail. The moon uses the same luminous in-fill as the hands and markers, allowing it to glow in low-light conditions. This gives it a subtle glow that enhances visibility and creates a moon-like effect in the dark.
Does this watch have Indiglo backlight feature or luminous hands?
Hello Kevin! Thank you for your question. This watch does not feature an INDIGLO® backlight, but it does include luminous elements for visibility in low light. The most captivating detail is the luminous moon graphic in the day-of-the-week sub-dial, which uses the same in-fill as the hands and markers so it glows beautifully in the dark. This provides a subtle yet functional glow to help you read the time in dim conditions.
