First released in 1979, our original diver-inspired Q Timex gave a new generation a modern Timex® watch with quartz technology. A true reissue, we recreated every detail—including the true-to-the-era woven stainless-steel bracelet, a rotating top ring, and luminescent paint—and ticking inside is a modern quartz movement.

"I like it. It looks good and has a practical purpose because I can monitor both the local time zone as well as UTC. I also like the special battery access port on the back. All watches should have something like that. I’m not giving it 5 stars, however, for 2 reasons: (1) The outer ring slips too easily, which is annoying. The detents should be tighter. Once I set it, I want it to stay put. (2) The outer ring would be more useful if it somehow included 24-hour markings. I realize this would be a bit of a stretch, and would deviate from the original, but it would be an improvement. I haven’t had it long enough to evaluate comfort, but the lack of outer ring detents is eventually going to be a disappointment, I think"
