Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. Mineral glass is not as shatter resistant as acrylic but does offer greater transparency and clarity. Due to their improved scratch resistance versus acrylic, and improved shatter resistance versus sapphire, mineral is often considered to be the best of both worlds as a crystal material.

"The watch is super cute and petite which is what I wanted since I have small wrists. I did have to have 6 links removed as the band was huge but I expected that. i wish the hands were visible at night but again, not a big deal! I have already received compliments on the watch and the tiny Snoopy makes my day better!"
"This is a pretty watch, my wife loves it, however it has one major flaw, the band. You can only adjust it by adding or removing links, which gets the band in the neighborhood of fitting, but there is no fine tuning it my moving a pin on the clasp as is standard on most watches with this type of clasp. It's really disappointing, either the band is too tight, or it rides down on the hand. There is not middle ground available. For this price point that should be standard."
