Acrylic lens are a specialised form of plastic akin to Plexiglass and were commonly used in early to mid-20th century watches. It is a softer material that can be more prone to scratches but conversely is very shatter-resistant. Given its softness any scratches though can be buffed out. "This is actually my first time Timex watch. I lost a friend, a fellow teacher who was a snoopy fanatic. I actually got her into watches and she bought her first one, a snoopy timex and she loved it. I had a couple of extra bucks laying around I saw this. She would’ve said this was perfect for my personality. I love the watch."
