This beautifully detailed rendition features a brilliant ice blue dial, as well as a tachymeter index along its outer minute track to measure speed, a unique date window placement, and a silver-tone stainless-steel bracelet with quick-release spring bars. Though its build broke new ground in our watchmaking heritage, this timepiece retains the classic Marlin features with a sturdy recycled stainless-steel case, a domed acrylic crystal, and retro-style square markers at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock.

Acrylic lens are a specialised form of plastic akin to Plexiglass and were commonly used in early to mid-20th century watches. It is a softer material that can be more prone to scratches but conversely is very shatter-resistant. Given its softness any scratches though can be buffed out. Acrylic lens are synonymous with vintage-inspired timepieces and thus can be found on our Marlin and Q Timex collections.

- Hello Ray, thank you for your interest in the Marlin® Chronograph Tachymeter 40mm Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch. The left subdial (20, 40, 60) tracks elapsed minutes when using the stopwatch function. The right subdial (04, 08, 12, 16, 20, 24) is a 24 hour time indicator showing AM or PM. The bottom subdial (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60) measures elapsed seconds for the chronograph. At this time, we do not sell pocket watches.
