Precision, Power and Style
Our Marlin Quartz Chronograph Tachymeter was the first chronograph to join our Marlin line, as well as the first Marlin powered by a quartz movement. Acrylic Crystal
A lightweight plastic polymer with excellent impact resistance and a warm vintage appearance that can be easily polished to remove scuffs.
Acrylic Crystal
Highly impact-resistant
Acrylic lens are a specialised form of plastic akin to Plexiglass and were commonly used in early to mid-20th century watches. It is a softer material that can be more prone to scratches but conversely is very shatter-resistant. Given its softness any scratches though can be buffed out. Acrylic lens are synonymous with vintage-inspired timepieces and thus can be found on our Marlin and Q Timex collections.

The original Marlin watches first stepped into the spotlight in the 1950s and matured into a centerpiece of Timex’s broader collection in the 1960s. Today's Marlin collection draws inspiration from that era, pulling both from Timex archives and '60s culture more generally.
Marlin is pure 1960s cool, delivering substance and style in equal measure, with unwavering swagger. Timeless and sophisticated, it's a watch that captures the best of the past while continuing to push Timex’s legacy of style, disruption, and quality into the future.

"The watch itself is beautiful kinda bummed it doesn’t hace the glow light in dark. What I was very disappointed in was the preorder and shipping the preorder was delayed by a month and then shipping was also very slow then I get my watch and it didn’t even come with a manual and bad dirty packaging."

This watch harkens back to
"This watch harkens back to the 60s. Not the turbulent 60s, but a time in America where the post-war economy still boomed, unions were strong, and even working class people could attain a bit of affluence, or at least an occasional trip to Vegas to catch Sinatra, play a few hands, and pretend to be a high roller for a while. This would have been their watch—clean, stylish, sporty—luxury for the masses. I kind of love it."
— Timothy F. (5/5)
