Beautifully detailed, it features a tachymeter index along its outer minute track to measure speed, as well as a unique date window placement and gorgeous gold-tone accents on its deep champagne dial. Paired with a stainless-steel bracelet with quick-release spring bars. Though its build broke new ground in our watchmaking heritage, this timepiece retains the classic Marlin features with a sturdy 40mm stainless-steel case, domed acrylic crystal, and retro-style applied indices at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock.

Acrylic lens are a specialised form of plastic akin to Plexiglass and were commonly used in early to mid-20th century watches. It is a softer material that can be more prone to scratches but conversely is very shatter-resistant. Given its softness any scratches though can be buffed out. Acrylic lens are synonymous with vintage-inspired timepieces and thus can be found on our Marlin and Q Timex collections.

Not the turbulent 60s, but a time in America where the post-war economy still boomed, unions were strong, and even working class people could attain a bit of affluence, or at least an occasional trip to Vegas to catch Sinatra, play a few hands, and pretend to be a high roller for a while. This would have been their watch—clean, stylish, sporty—luxury for the masses. I kind of love it."
