Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. Mineral crystals are still susceptible to scratches but less so than acrylic, however it is not possible to buff out these scratches as it is with acrylic. Q&A
- I'd like to know the actual model name of my Timex Expedition. I didn't buy it from this site, but rather through a parallel import from Korea. The model number is T49961. I looked up the model online and found that the Indglo and Waterproof letters are horizontally placed between the word "Expedition" and the number 6. But My watch has them circled below the number 6. Aside from the material, it looks identical to the TW4B14000, but the second hand is yellow. I searched Timex stores and other places, but couldn't find anything that looked exactly like mine, so I'm asking here.
