Mechanical Automatic Movement
Automatic watches have no battery. Instead, these "self winding" movements use the natural movement of your wrist as a power source.
Mechanical Automatic
Powered by You
A mechanical automatic movement winds itself using the natural motion of your wrist — a rotor inside spins as you move, storing energy in a mainspring. This spring slowly releases power through a precise series of gears and an escapement, driving the hands in a smooth, sweeping motion. It’s a self-sustaining engine, no battery required. When worn daily, it stays powered continuously — keeping perfect time without needing to be reset.

Sapphire Crystal
Nearly impossible to scratch, the sapphire crystal lens is as hard and clear as a gemstone. There are only a few materials known to the world that can scratch it.
Sapphire Crystal
Scratch-resistant
Sapphire is the hardest crystal available. Given its hardness it is near impossible to scratch, however, it can be prone to shattering if subjected to a heavy impact. Its scratch resistance is very desirable and as such there is a higher cost to sapphire versus other crystals.

Reviews
Overall, it's an excellent watch.
"Overall, it's an excellent watch. I haven't noticed any significant time deviation or have any complaints in that regard. It's a steal at it's price point, compared to a Tudor Black Bay pro ,looks very similar, but far cheaper. Plus the titanium has a unique look. My only little gripe with the whole watch is I wish the titanium bracelet had some sort of micro adjust. I really wish I could dial in the fit a little more. Or maybe send a half link to put in."
— Samson R. (5/5)
Excellent watch. Happy to have
"Excellent watch. Happy to have purchased. ONLY thing that doesn’t quite hit the mark is the Lume. It’s barely seen in dark or low light conditions. Other than that very happy!"
— Marc L. (5/5)
Greta product that stands on
"Greta product that stands on its own. I really think Timex is going to own the affordable tool watch category. Incredible value!"
— Michael D. (5/5)
Unbelievably light & comfortable. Black
"Unbelievably light & comfortable. Black face has darkness that really helps the contrast "pop". Wonderful titanium band. Hardly know it's there. Very good automatic movement at good value price."
— David G. (5/5)

"I think this is an excellent value. Titanium, exhibition caseback, sapphire, automatic for under cheap. It feels great, looks great. People don’t believe it’s a Timex when they see it."
— Aaron W. (5/5)
Timex continues to deliver. The
"Timex continues to deliver. The optimized Expedition dial, titanium case and bracelet are a true winner. The total weight of the timepiece will amaze you. The only drawback is the bezel; it is very loose fit and can move on it own simply through every day use. Hopefully the company can improve on this minor flaw. Go Timex!"
— Matthew F. (4/5)
Great watch. The titanium is
"Great watch. The titanium is light and the finishing is excellent. This watch punches way above its price. Two things that could be better: the movement is a caller/office GMT. A watch this nice deserves a Miyota true GMT movement. And the bracelet, while very comfortable, lacks any kind of micro adjustments or half links, so if your wrist is between sizing of the links you’re out of luck. Overall great watch."
— Robert B. (4/5)
I love the watch, however
"I love the watch, however there is a spec of something on the inside the crystal and I can't unsee it. The spec is so annoying. Great watch though 👌."
— Shane S. (4/5)
I just love the watch.
"I just love the watch. What a solid gorgeous watch which has been attracting much attention since I wore it. Looks solid and I am sure I will enjoy wearing it for many years to come. Well done Timex."

Q&A
What is the movements designation and power reserve? I let mine sit for not quite 24 hours and it was dead, after almost a month of daily use.
Hello there! Thank you for reaching out about the Expedition® Pioneer Titanium Automatic GMT 41mm Titanium Bracelet Watch. This model is powered by the Seiko NH34 automatic GMT movement, which has an approximate power reserve of 41 hours when fully wound. If left idle for close to 24 hours, it may stop, so wearing it regularly or giving it a gentle wind helps keep it running smoothly.
Will /is there a quartz version?
