Enhanced durability
Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. Mineral crystals are still susceptible to scratches but less so than acrylic, however it is not possible to buff out these scratches as it is with acrylic. Mineral glass is not as shatter resistant as acrylic but does offer greater transparency and clarity. Due to their improved scratch resistance versus acrylic, and improved shatter resistance versus sapphire, mineral is often considered to be the best of both worlds as a crystal material.

"I couldn't find Timex watches in Honolulu retail stores, so I was forced to buy on the Timex website. - How to change battery
- Hi Ronald! For battery replacement and case resealing, it is not intended to be replaced by a consumer. We recommend visiting an authorised Timex service centre or a reputable watch repair shop. This ensures the watch is properly serviced and resealed to maintain its water resistance.
- When the Indiglo light is activated, the bottom of the dial (below the 6) does not light up. It’s possible to tell the time nonetheless, but should the entire dial face be lit?
- Hi LJ! It's normal that the bottom of the dial (below the 6) doesn't light up completely on the Easy Reader® 30mm Expansion Band Watch. While the Indiglo feature may not illuminate the entire dial, the watch is still designed for easy readability in the dark. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to reach out!
