Enhanced durability
Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. Mineral crystals are still susceptible to scratches but less so than acrylic, however it is not possible to buff out these scratches as it is with acrylic. Mineral glass is not as shatter resistant as acrylic but does offer greater transparency and clarity. Due to their improved scratch resistance versus acrylic, and improved shatter resistance versus sapphire, mineral is often considered to be the best of both worlds as a crystal material.

- My Woman's Easy Reader keeps losing the time. I think that the winding knob gets accidently pushed out. I had a previous model for years and never had this issue. Is there anything that can be done to address this? I've had the watch for a couple of years but it's been an issue from the beginning.

- Hi margaret! All our watches are sold as shown in the product images, so we do not offer customization, such as changing the band strap. However, you can purchase a separate replacement strap with the correct lug width if you’d prefer a different one.
- I loved my old Timex which had a button at ~8 o’clock. When I pressed that button the dial-face would light up and I could read the time in the dark. Where is the light up button on the new Timex watches, please?
