Sapphire Crystal
Nearly impossible to scratch, the sapphire crystal lens is as hard and clear as a gemstone. There are only a few materials known to the world that can scratch it.
Sapphire Crystal
Scratch-resistant
Sapphire is the hardest crystal available. Given its hardness it is near impossible to scratch, however, it can be prone to shattering if subjected to a heavy impact. Its scratch resistance is very desirable and as such there is a higher cost to sapphire versus other crystals.

Merging resilience and elegance with crucial functions for underwater pursuits, our Deepwater Collection is expertly engineered to venture deep at 200m water resistance.
Our Deepwater collection survived extreme pressure testing, as free diver Francesco Sena descended 42 meters to the limits of Y-40 in Italy, the world’s third deepest pool.
Our Promise for the Next 170 Years
Since 1854, no other watchmaker has ever been able to match our ability to put a well-crafted watch on your wrist, while leaving money in your pocket. Every Timex is a testament to our legendary durability and value, and a reminder to make time yours.
"What a beautiful watch! I appreciate the sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel insert. The bracelet looks great and feels very good on wrist. I am very happy with my purchase. However, I do have to mention a negative comment or two regarding the bracelet. If Timex is going to insist on using butterfly closures on their steel bracelets, I think I speak for all enthusiasts when I ask for Timex to give us half links on the bracelet. Or, at least, put scissor deployant clasps with micro adjustment holes on the bracelet, instead. That would be appreciated. Also, the jubilee style bracelet is mostly very comfortable on wrist but has some very sharp edges."

It’s a nice watch. The
"It’s a nice watch. The 40. 5 feels or just is bigger than I might have hoped. The bracelet is not heavy enough for me. I will probably switch it out. The crystal is sapphire. The movement is quartz so for the price…I can’t complain. It looks plenty nice. It occurred to me that I’ve probably purchased 5 Timex watches over the past year…while looking at the Atelier GMT and a slew of other 2-3k watches. Though to pull the trigger. A Timex is just easy to justify. I know a bracelet/band that I prefer will make this a great daily watch I can wear virtually anytime."

Beautiful watch. Love the blue
"Beautiful watch. Love the blue color. Pops in the sun. Gets a 3 because the second hand does not align on the second marks from 01 - 30 second marks. I'm old school, this was never an issue years ago. Seem to be common now."
— Desmond J. (3/5)

in the last few years
"in the last few years timex has produced a number of great watch designs. This is one of them. If you want a solid quartz dive watch, easy to read, this is a good choice. The bracelet works well and looks nice."
— khedouri e. (5/5)
It's a nice quality watch
"It's a nice quality watch I wish it had the date and the clasp takes a little to get used to it, I have a Submariner but with all the crime I wanted a reliable watch with similar features and this one come close for my needs"

Beautiful watch, very nice color
"Beautiful watch, very nice color match and very nice bracelet especially at the price. Doesn’t align too well, but it’s a well built $300 watch with ceramics & sapphire. Great example of a tool watch"

Q&A
Will you be offering this watch in green?
Hi Logan! Thank you for your interest in the Deepwater Arctic 40.5mm. We appreciate hearing what colors enthusiasts would love to see. At present, this model is offered in its current design, but your suggestion for a green version is valuable feedback we’ll be sure to share with our product team for future consideration
There is a void in the market right now for solar quartz dive watches. Citizen has mineral glass and the seiko prospect no longer even has a solar diver. Can you please make a deepwater artic or meridian in a solar quartz. Please.
Hi Jeremiah! Thanks so much for the suggestion! I absolutely love the idea and I'll definitely pass your idea along to our product team. We always appreciate hearing what our customers would love to see!
When is the black dial and bezel coming back out?
Hi Richard! I completely understand how frustrating it can be when a product you've been eyeing is out of stock for an extended period. Rest assured, our team is diligently working to replenish our inventory on a monthly basis. However, I regret to inform you that we don't have a specific estimated date for when the watch will be back in stock. While we do not have alternative purchasing options available through other retailers at the moment, I encourage you to sign up for notifications on our website. This way, you'll be among the first to know when this becomes available again. We also encourage you to keep an eye out for our exciting new launches and other products that suits your preference!
What is the name of the movement caliber in the watch? Does it have any End-of-life features?
Hi Syeh! Thanks so much for your question. The Deepwater Arctic 40.5mm Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch is powered by a Japan Seiko 3-hand (3H) basic movement. This type of movement is known for its reliability and straightforward timekeeping. It does not include an end-of-life (EOL) indicator feature. When the battery runs out, the hands will simply stop moving.
Will the blue ring chip or scratch off? I really love the look.
Hi Les! Thank you for your question. The blue ring on the Deepwater Arctic 40.5mm Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch is designed with durability in mind, but like most finishes, it may show wear over time depending on use. To help preserve its look, we recommend avoiding hard impacts or abrasive surfaces. With proper care, it should maintain its appearance well.
