The Timex x MM6 Maison Margiela collection introduces an inspired re-engineering of our iconic T80 digital watch via the inimitable approach of the MM6 creative studio.
Since its launch in 1997, MM6 Maison Margiela has become world-renowned for bending the rules of fashion with collections that twist quotidian wardrobe staples into idiosyncratic and irreverent streetwear-infused essentials for all genders. For this exclusive collaboration, our retro-style T80 is reimagined as two distinct offerings: a 2-in-1 wristwatch, offered as a gift set with an additional standalone stainless-steel bracelet, and our first-ever T80 ring watch.
An exploration of appearance and illusion that plays upon notions of iconography, convention, and perception, the Timex x MM6 Maison Margiela collection redefines how time itself can be worn. Through minimal, instinctive design gestures, MM6 has reinterpreted the T80 as an endlessly adaptable accessory, offering a multitude of styling options. Building on MM6’s continual exploration of ‘Ways to Wear It’ – a design process which places great importance on the individuality of the wearer – it allows for immediacy and spontaneity in dressing.
Both the Timex x MM6 Maison Margiela T80 wristwatch and T80 ring watch are equipped with a polished stainless-steel case and feature a mirrored mask displaying a sequence of digits from 0 to 23 – with ‘6’ encircled as a nod to the MM6 numerical signature. The wristwatch offers all the functionality you’d expect from our T80–a chronograph, daily alarm, timer, month and date display, and our INDIGLO® backlight for night visibility–while the ring watch presents a fully brushed stainless-steel expansion band made to be worn on the finger.
