We're paying homage to the 1972 Apollo 17 mission to the moon with a cosmic reimagining of our '70s Q Timex.
The 1970s marked one of Timex's most prolific eras in design. Quartz technology was transforming watchmaking, and the possibilities for shape, function, and style were expanding just as quickly as humanity’s reach into space.
That spirit of innovation gave rise to the Q Timex. Introduced during this bold decade, the series reshaped watches for a new generation with the precision of quartz timekeeping and a design language that was unapologetically modern.
It’s why the Q Timex remains one of our most recognizable watches today. The bold case, distinctive bezel, and confident design capture the energy of the era it came from; a time when both watchmaking and space exploration were pushing forward at full speed.

Full of stellar details, the Q Timex NASA includes a multifunction movement with sub-dials tracking the day of the week, the date, and a day/night indicator depicting sun and moon illustrations. The most captivating detail: a luminous moon graphic in the day of the week sub-dial, glowing with the same in-fill as the hands and markers so that it shines like the moon itself.

Turning the watch over reveals another tribute to space history with the iconic “Blue Marble” photograph, captured by Apollo 17 astronauts on their journey home. The image remains one of the most powerful reminders of our place in the universe, and a fitting tribute for a watch inspired by the space age.
Completing the look is a vintage-style domed acrylic crystal and an ornamental tachymeter bezel that reinforce the bold aesthetic that has always defined our Q Timex. It’s available with either a fully brushed stainless-steel bracelet or a natural leather strap responsibly sourced from the Leather Working Group (LWG).
