To kick off Pride Month, Timex is proud to partner with The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ youth. This year, we’re donating $25,000 to help provide support and bring awareness to the vital work they do.
A significant number of young people in the United States struggle with mental health issues, and this concern is particularly prominent among LGBTQ+ youth. It’s a tough situation that demands our attention, and The Trevor Project is on the front lines, offering a wide range of services to help combat this crisis. Among these services is a 24/7 crisis hotline, an online chat, and text message support for young LGBTQ+ people experiencing feelings of distress, isolation, or suicidal thoughts. The Trevor Project also works to educate schools, communities, and professionals about the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth and how to best support them.
Timex recognizes the urgency of supporting organizations like The Trevor Project that make a tangible difference in the lives of many young people. Our $25,000 contribution will aid in the expansion of crisis intervention services, training more volunteers, and amplifying outreach programs that reduce stigma surrounding mental health within the LGBTQ+ community.
