The latest additions to the Waterbury Heritage collection build on Timex watchmaking tradition with new automatic functionality and classic proportions made for today. From a GMT that keeps track of two time zones to the collection’s first automatic day-and-date function, each brings something new to a lineage that began in Waterbury, Connecticut, in 1854.

Waterbury Heritage Automatic GMT: Two Time Zones, One Timeless Design

First up is a color update to our Waterbury Heritage Automatic GMT, built with a battery-free NH34 automatic GMT movement with 24 jewels that's powered by motion as the watch is worn. Its GMT functionality makes it possible to track two time zones, with a red and white triangle GMT hand providing an easy reference against the two-tone maroon and black unidirectional ratcheting top ring.

The 41.5mm brushed stainless-steel case surrounds a clean black dial, where applied indices, luminant hands and markers, a yellow second hand, and a date window at 3 o’clock balance character with everyday readability. A double-domed K1 mineral glass crystal with anti-reflective coating adds clarity, while the exhibition case back provides a view of the automatic movement inside.

Even the smaller details have a purpose. A red anodized crown adds a confident flash of color, while the fully brushed stainless-steel bracelet features quick-release spring bars and self-adjustable links that require no tools for resizing. A butterfly clasp creates a secure fit and a seamless transition when closed around the wrist. It’s classic Waterbury design with another time zone built in.

For a more traditional silhouette, the new 39mm Waterbury Heritage Automatic introduces the first automatic day-and-date function in the collection.

The watch is powered by a battery-free Miyota 8205 automatic movement that winds through the motion of the wearer. At 3 o’clock, a day-and-date display puts practical information directly on the dial, while an exhibition case back offers another perspective on the mechanical movement powering it.

Two dial executions give the design distinct personalities. One pairs a glossy deep blue enamel dial with a blue stationary top ring, while the other brings together a black enamel dial and black stationary top ring. Both feature luminant hands and markers for enhanced visibility and a double-domed K1 mineral glass crystal with anti-reflective coating for added clarity.

The 39mm stainless-steel case keeps the profile clean and classic, complemented by a brushed and polished stainless-steel bracelet. Self-adjustable links allow the bracelet to be resized without tools, quick-release spring bars simplify changes, and a butterfly clasp keeps the fit sleek and secure.
