This season brings exciting additions to our Marlin family. We're introducing our new Marlin Moon Phase Multifunction alongside our beloved Marlin Automatic and Marlin Quartz Chronograph in versatile new colorways.
The original Marlin watches first debuted in the 1950s and matured into a centerpiece of Timex’s broader collection in the 1960s. Today’s Marlin collection draws inspiration from that era, pulling both from Timex archives and 1960s culture more generally. Timeless and sophisticated, this collection draws on the best of the past while continuing to push Timex’s legacy of style, disruption, and quality into the future.

MARLIN MOON PHASE - ASK FOR THE MOON
On September 12th, 1962, President John F. Kennedy rallied the nation when he declared that The United States would achieve the unthinkable: landing on the moon before the decade’s end. And in July of ‘69, the luminous surface that once seemed impossible to reach finally became a tangible reality. Decades have passed since that monumental day, yet the spirit of the first moon landing continues to serve as a reminder that our dreams have the power to defy gravity and propel us to new heights.
Just as that inspiring spirit permeated the 1960s, it also lives on in our iconic Marlin—a timeless emblem of mid-century innovation and design. Our Marlin Moon Phase Multifunction pays tribute to the great minds that propelled mankind to the moon with a 28-day moon cycle sub-dial that reflects what you see when you marvel at the night sky.
The lustrous dial appears in three colors—green, salmon, and blue—and houses four sub-dials that indicate the current phase of the moon, the day of the week, the month, and the date to guide and ground you as you passionately pursue your goals and dreams.
This gorgeous update also presents a generous selection of attachment offerings, including a distinguished crocodile-patterned leather strap in two versatile shades of brown and an adjustable stainless-steel bracelet for a more contemporary style.
MARLIN AUTOMATIC - FRESH COLOR UPDATES
Ticking inside this iteration of our iconic '60s Marlin is a tried-and-true 21-jewel Japanese automatic movement, creating a contemporary timepiece that honors our watchmaking history. Powered by your motion as you wear the watch, the movement can store a maximum 40 hours of energy. If motionless for longer than 40 hours, wind the watch using the crown until you feel resistance, set the time, and place it back on your wrist where every motion will supply the energy.
True to our original Marlin design, this watch features the iconic domed acrylic crystal and retro-style applied indices, complemented by a sturdy 40mm stainless-steel case with exhibition case back. We've updated the lustrous sunray dial to include classic black and a rich shade of salmon.
To top it off, the supple black or brown natural leather strap is sourced from the Leather Working Group (LWG) and comes with quick-release spring bars so you can switch up your style with ease.
MARLIN QUARTZ CHRONOGRAPH - NOW IN SALMON
In case you're not already familiar with it, our Marlin Chronograph Tachymeter boasts the distinction of being the first chronograph in our Marlin line, as well as the first Marlin powered by a quartz movement. It features a tachymeter index along its outer minute track to measure speed and distance, as well as a unique date window placement.
For this color update, we went with a richly colored salmon sunray dial and paired it with a supple brown natural leather strap that's sourced from the Leather Working Group (LWG) and complete with quick-release spring bars.
Fresh yet familiar, it retains the classic Marlin features with a sturdy 40mm stainless-steel case, domed acrylic crystal lens, and retro-style applied indices at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock.
