Modern Precision, Vintage Elegance
The Q Timex 1971 Velocity Reissue is a modern-day reissue that transports us back to the adrenaline-fueled racing scene of the ‘70s. It captures the sophisticated charm of an iconic electric timepiece from that era, but it’s modernized with an ultra-precise quartz movement for impeccable timekeeping.
The 36mm case has been upgraded to sturdy stainless-steel, featuring polished sides and enhanced with circular brushing on the lugs and case back. We also equipped it with a friction-fit aluminum top ring with an elapsed time scale for tracking and measuring elapsed time with precision. Elegantly complementing this is a period-correct domed acrylic crystal.
The pattern on the perimeter of the dial is a bold visual ode to the famed checkered flag that signals victory on the racetrack, while the tapered contour of the striking orange sweep second hand mirrors a speedometer needle. Enhancing the dial's appeal is a red crosshair pattern, a handy date window, and faceted silver-tone hour markers that catch the light while ensuring legibility.
To top it off, we’ve paired it with a strap that strikes a perfect balance of casual and cool. Continuing the influence from high-speed auto design, it's crafted of durable synthetic rubber and perforated for enhanced breathability on and off the track. Strap it on your wrist and grab your helmet; we'll see you at the finish line.
