Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. Mineral crystals are still susceptible to scratches but less so than acrylic, however it is not possible to buff out these scratches as it is with acrylic. Mineral glass is not as shatter resistant as acrylic but does offer greater transparency and clarity. Due to their improved scratch resistance versus acrylic, and improved shatter resistance versus sapphire, mineral is often considered to be the best of both worlds as a crystal material.

"I absolutely love this watch. I changed the bracelet to a brown roadster type and I think it looks as nice as the tutor monarch that was such a hit of watches and wonders really it’s in the parallel chronograph dials at 11 and 5 o’clock are very nicely put"
