Nice watch, but has some flaws
"I like the styling of the watch, and many of the features - timer, steps, alarm and light, as well as the small size which looks OK in most settings and less like an athletic watch. It almost has too many features, though, as learning how to use them is a steep learning curve. (It randomly beeps about something, which I have not figured out yet!) My biggest issue with the watch is that the band broke off the watch right at the pin less than 24 hours after I first put it on, and, after less than a month, the loop on the band that holds the end down also broke. I have solve the problem by replacing both sides of the band with a band from an old watch, but it ought to last longer than that!"

"Like the watch looks but it is very difficult to use and customer support is pretty much nonexistent because they just sent me a manual to download and try to figure it out. I wanted something with basic features: time, date, steps, heart rate. This has a lot of features I don’t use and it was complicated for me to set up initially. Now that it’s setup, I like it but it took too long for me to get the help I needed."

- Does this watch operate as a normal watch? Meaning not focused on health metrics, but normal date, time, etc. functions? I’m asking because I love the look, but I would use it more as a traditional watch.

While it has added health and activity tracking features, you don’t need to use those if you prefer to keep it simple.

- Hi Leann! Great question about interval training. The Timex Ironman HeartFIT™ Transit+ does not have programmable repeating interval timers for run/walk workouts. It offers activity tracking and heart-rate features.

You can reset it by holding down the LAP/RESET/- button until the display changes. This should clear the “OFF” message and get your watch back to normal operation.
