"I have had this watch forn3 days. So far its running at about +12. 5sec/day. I hope after 30 days it settles into less seconds per day BUT The design, finish amd details FAR exceed anything I expected from Timex. It is amazingly beautiful! The lume ia excellent, the black enamel dial n is perfect. And as much as I thought I wouldn't like the bracelet going from 20mm to 18mm, its actually very comfortable. The tool-less bracelet adjustments are super easy. If Timex works on getting these more tightly regulated, like say maybe to the COSC standard which is ENTIRELY possible, I'd even be willing to pay another $100 or so. Even if that meant switching to a Sellita SW200 ELABOORE. OVERALL, WELL DONE Timex+"

I took a big risk

"I took a big risk on a 1100 dollar Timex and yes you can argue there is so much competition with so many micro brands at the $1000 space. I have to say I wasn't sure the watch was going to wow me but it indeed has. From the very gorgeous black laquer dial to the solid 3-link bracelet that is sublime on the wrist in terms of comfort. I love this watch. I am very happy with this piece and hope to see more from Mr. Galli. The question is with this unique sub mariner style watch can the lay person get over the mental stigma that is Timex? Hard to say. Maybe just call it Atelier T? I highly recommend this watch. It feels like a 1000 dollar watch (I have a few) Give it a shot"

"I have always appreciated Timex's "Waterbury approach" of a gentleman's watch at a gentleman's price. Fun, quality, good-looking, entry pieces into the world of real watches and watch enthusiasm. However, Atelier line is a welcome deviation by the Timex folks that I hope sticks around and develops. Originally I think I just wanted to see one in person. Then it arrived. This M1a is a quality timepiece with a solid mechanical movement. The design is new and sophisticated but elegantly clear and understandable. The tool-less band allowed adjustment in (literal) seconds. The half-links are there when needed. The lume is bright. reactive, and continues on the bezel. It has the required heft. Yet, impressive as that may be, on the wrist it remains a watch - not an engineering project. It's in my regular rotation."

"I've been absolutely gobsmacked by this beautiful, high performance Timex Atelier release. The watch has exceeded expectations for finishing and accuracy, providing timekeeping within 3 seconds after the first week. . . And at about +14 seconds today on the tenth day of wear. That's outstanding. I've been a collector of Giorgio Galli-designed watches for over 20 years and have examples of his pieces back to Benetton in the early 1990s, nearly a hundred examples of his work for Nautica, and well over a dozen Timex that include his design impact -- including multiple Galli S1 editions and the Galli S2Ti. This is a excellent capstone for a new era for Timex and a essential part of my collection documenting Giorgio's ongoing evolution of modern horological design to elevate Timex and introduce Atelier to the world. Five stars!"
