Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. Mineral crystals are still susceptible to scratches but less so than acrylic, however it is not possible to buff out these scratches as it is with acrylic. Mineral glass is not as shatter resistant as acrylic but does offer greater transparency and clarity. Due to their improved scratch resistance versus acrylic, and improved shatter resistance versus sapphire, mineral is often considered to be the best of both worlds as a crystal material.

"This is a classic style watch that wears well in casual to business casual settings. this has become my go to watch unless I know I’ll be in more physical potential wrist banging scenarios then I’ll opt for either G Shock or maybe Timex Expedition Scout. Still adding to my collection but currently this top notch for the price point."
"I really like the design of this watch, and it fits comfortably. I wanted to try an integrated bracelet without spending $400+ on a good design. Thank you timex for making it 39mm and not 40mm+ like many of your watches. The quality is good for the price, but I do wish the clasp had some micro adjustments. I luckily got a pretty good fit with the bracelet(about a 6. 5 inch wrist), but others may not be so lucky. It fits when I’m warm, but slides down my wrist a little in cooler temps. That is my only reason for not giving 5/5 stars. Overall I would definitely recommend this watch if you like the design."
