"Solid watch with great looks and functionality. Case is well-finished and solid stainless steel. The movement is unique to Timex and strikes the balance between quartz and mechanical. The running white second hands ticks once a second, while the orange "airplane" hand sweeps like a mechanical watch's hand when the top chronograph pusher is activated. L Lots of features, including a date window, the flyback chronograph, a legible 10 minute counter, and 4 hour counter, a tachymeter scale, a 24 hr GMT when the chronograph isn't running, and a slide rule bezel. The dial is top notch with the sunburst blue and the Pan Am logo. I only found out about the watch while perusing Timex's website. It's barely publicized elsewhere besides a couple of articles on a blog and media site. So it's basically a hidden gem at the moment. I've been looking for a good inexpensive chronograph for a long time, and I think I finally found THE one."

"The watch is fantastic! Really happy with the overall product and packaging! The flyback chronograph is unique among pilot watches. My only is with the product is on the packaging side. It would be nice if this piece came with a printed manual in the event of needing to recalibrate the chronograph. Even though I can track it down online it is kind of a hassle to do so. Even if you included a QR code piece with the packaging that linked to the manual that would’ve been nice. So 5 stars for the watch itself and 4 stars for the packaging."

It has a very distinctive band and as it will be used regularly, I was wondering if original replacement bands will be available to purchase in order to maintain its iconic style. For the Pan Am x Timex Fly-Back Chronograph 43mm Leather Strap Watch, there are no original replacement straps available. However, any compatible strap with a 22mm lug width can fit the watch. Please also note that this model does not have a quick release strap, so a tool will be needed for replacement.
