Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. Mineral crystals are still susceptible to scratches but less so than acrylic, however it is not possible to buff out these scratches as it is with acrylic. Mineral glass is not as shatter resistant as acrylic but does offer greater transparency and clarity. Due to their improved scratch resistance versus acrylic, and improved shatter resistance versus sapphire, mineral is often considered to be the best of both worlds as a crystal material.

"I love the watch, but seriously dislike the strap. It doesn't have a good feel and it's awkward to take on and off. Nice that it is recycled fabric but I find it cheapens the product. I suppose I shouldn't expect any better since it's made in China. I think your product would be much better if you found another source, went to a neoprene bracelet or upgraded to a stainless one. Other than that, I really like it. In fact it looks as nice as my dress-up watch (last two letters in its name are also EX)."

- The bezel is very difficult to turn, right out of the box. Is this normal?

This is because the mechanism is designed to be secure and precise, and it usually loosens slightly with regular use. If it continues to feel unusually tight after some wear, we recommend having it checked by a technician to ensure everything is functioning properly.
- How long will the lumen last after dark? I’m a camper and hiker and need to be able to see my time after dark. Is it very legible I’m a senior citizen and need something I can clearly see thanks Joe
- Hi Joe! The lume works by absorbing light (sunlight or artificial light) and then glowing in the dark. Typically, the glow will be bright and clear for the first 1–2 hours after exposure, and then gradually fade, but it can remain faintly visible for up to 3–4 hours depending on how much light it absorbed. For camping or hiking, many people carry a small flashlight to “recharge” the lume quickly if they need strong visibility later in the night.
