I have 4 other watches,
"I have 4 other watches, a Rolex, a Tudor and two Hamiltons. All but the Rolex have stopped working. With the repair costs approaching a grand for each of the 3 broken watches, I decided to look elsewhere. I did not know Timex had a line of “nice watches” (Sapphire crystal, rugged case, etc), but I took a chance and did some investigating on YouTube. I am glad I did, because I found the Expedition line of watches, each one of which could have satisfied my needs. I normally only purchase manual or automatic movements, but this time decided to try a quartz, as I really need an accurate timepiece and I suspected that would be the only non-Rolex that would approach or even likely exceed modern Rolex accuracy. So far I have been SUPER pleased with the purchase. The styling and weight are terrific. The band has plenty of adjustment margin and is super comfortable and the water resistance will be perfect for my needs. I did purchase a 3-year service plan, but hopefully will not need it. I am going to wear it exclusively for perhaps 6 months and then decide on my next Timex if all seems to be going as well as it is now."
Very hard to find good
"Very hard to find good olive green dial field watches that are under many thousands of dollars and yet here TIMEX has done it again! It’s a true 38mm and fits well. Immediately put it on a cloth strap for added comfort, the leather isn’t the greatest choice for sweating in. Can’t comment on the movement longevity yet, as all my timex watches have broken within 5yrs, but this one is pretty, and feels much more upmarket than the $30 ones they used to sell in years past. Highly recommend!"
