"This is a heck of a watch for a guy who seems to break everything I get my hands on. So far it has endured quite a bit and working just fine. Tide clock is fantastic. It illuminates really well. The strap is comfortable. It can definitely take a beating and it looks pretty manly. All for less than 300 bucks. Definitely cannot ask more than that. I might even get it in a different color."
"Terrific watch, however, though not surprising, the temperature feature requires you to remove the watch and place it in the shade for several moments as the watch is not insulated against one's own heat when it is worn on the wrist. The compass is a bit finicky too. Other than that, I love the watch."
"Looks great, but hard to read in low light. This is probably the best looking of the Time-Tide-Compass series, but the clean look makes the dial a little harder to read than some of the previous releases. The alternating black and white bands on the hour and minute hands make them hard to discern in less than perfect lighting, and the black second hand against the dark watch face might as well be invisible. It’s possible that I just received a watch with a low battery, but the Indiglo on it is very dim, too. But those negatives aside, it really is a great watch. The compass, thermometer and tide tracker all work great, and it really is a great-looking watch that looks perfect for outdoor activies."

However, when reading the product description I imagined the watch having a traditional magnetic dial compass not one that that only works with a button press and then turns off after a few seconds. "Overall the watch is awesome, I loved it, but it is darker than it appears in the pictures, not a big deal, but when you're trying to chose among other colors and designs it is. The other thing is that it doesn't come with a manual, not even a paper on how to set things, nothing at all except an information about a battery. I went on YouTube to see if someone had made a review or an unboxing but nothing, then I went to the timex web page and there's a pdf supposedly from this watch but it doesn't math, that manual is from a different model. I set the date and the time thanks to my experience with other watches, but at this moment I still don't know how to set the compass, or how to read the tide and temperature. . . If you could help me with that I would really appreciate it, because at this moment I kind of think I paid to much for a watch I really don't understand, and that's disappointing."

This is my second tide/temp/compass watch from Timex and both times the compass function is super unreliable. Still, looks great and is my favorite watch to wear."
