Since 2017, we’ve been reconnecting with our past by reintroducing some of the most iconic timepieces from our archives in a line of modern-day reissues.
This collection is a testament to our rich 170-year legacy of watchmaking excellence, bringing back vintage designs that seamlessly fit into the current style landscape. It introduces today’s watch wearers to some of the most exquisite Timex watches that graced wrists decades ago. Each captures the essence of the original while incorporating modern innovations, ensuring it remains relevant and desirable for years to come.
A Digital First
Launched in the mid-1970s, our SSQ collection marked Timex’s very first step into the digital era. Powered by Solid State Quartz technology, these watches introduced crisp LCD and LED displays that felt futuristic at the time, and remain iconic today.
This season, we're bringing that iconic design back with the Q Timex® 1975 SSQ Digital Reissue—a ‘70s LCD trailblazer reimagined for today. Unlike its LED predecessors, the original LCD display stayed visible at all times—no button press needed—marking a major leap in everyday utility. While the OG wasn’t flashy, it ushered in a new era of digital innovation that still powers our designs today.

Q Timex® 1975 SSQ Digital Reissue 38mm Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch38 mm Stainless Steel/Stainless Steel$159.00
Featuring an always-on LCD display, a simple date function, and a 60-second counter, this modern-day reissue stays true to the original’s functional, no-frills design. Intentionally simple, the case is fitted with just two buttons. The left button includes a small notch that, when facing forward, puts the watch into “settings” mode to adjust the time or date. Powering it all is a reliable quartz movement that honors the legacy of our Q Timex.
A half-century later, the LCD trailblazer returns; refreshed for today, but unmistakably timeless, with a recycled stainless-steel case elevated by a sunburst-brushed top and polished sides. A bold navy acrylic lens frames the ‘always-on’ display, staying true to the original’s simple brilliance, while a brushed stainless-steel bracelet completes the retro look.
